Job Summary CenterPoint Energy is looking for an Auxiliary Operatorto join our Production Team, located in Evansville, Indiana. As the Auxiliary Equipment Operator, you will provide uninterrupted Electric service to the service area. You will also be responsible for operating safely, efficiently and within environmental parameters; monitor and operate power plant equipment associated with steam generator and auxiliary systems and record operating parameters. Essential FunctionsSpecifically, you'll have the opportunity to: Operate valves Start and stop rotating equipment Run fly ash and dumping pyrites Monitor and maintain lubricating systems Perform simple maintenance using hand tools Issue and pick up lock-out/tag-out clearances Act as a first responder to environmental spills General plant housekeeping activitiesPosition involves working twelve-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime Work outside in all types of weather conditions.
