ABOUT THE ROLE Peloton is looking for an attorney with substantial corporate internal investigations experience to join our Safety, Ethics and Compliance team as the Lead Investigator. This role will help lead Peloton's Global internal investigation processes in coordination with cross-functional partners in Legal and other teams. In this role, you will also help drive major compliance team processes such as conflicts of interest, gifts and business entertainment and anti-corruption processes, training and awareness activities, and more. This role requires you to understand the applicable laws and regulations in the locations in which our team members work, and the ability to monitor compliance enforcement policy trends wherever Peloton operates globally. You should be able to thoroughly understand Peloton's multi-faceted business, including its partners, Members, and competitors, in order to support the achievement of Peloton's business objectives. This position is subject to Peloton's hybrid work schedule and is expected to report to our New York City HQ weekly, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON Partner with Legal, People and other Teams to enhance Peloton's compliance program and facilitate Peloton's adherence to applicable laws concerning anti-bribery and corruption prevention. Direct, advise and conduct internal investigations in coordination with cross-functional partners to ensure timely review and closure of concerns raised through Peloton's Integrity Helpline and other channels. Track and respond to complaints, investigations, and corrective actions. Analyze data and trends related to investigations and whistleblower line reports. Assist the VP of Safety, Ethics, and Compliance in connection with compliance reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board. Drive a global compliance policy framework, including development of compliance policies in coordination with partners. Relatedly, monitor global employment legislative and regulatory developments, and partner with the People and Legal teams to ensure appropriate updates to our policies, procedures, postings, training, and Team Handbook, including with respect to labor and employment law issues. Help conduct risk assessments periodically of major compliance risks; in partnership with People and Legal Teams, leverage outputs to identify and implement practical compliance process and procedure improvements. Work collaboratively across multiple functions with various internal partners, develop compliance trainings for Peloton team members; document training certifications as required, and update trainings on a regular basis based on new or emerging risks. Perform other job functions as necessary to support Peloton's growing Compliance function. WHAT YOU BRING TO PELOTON 7+ years of relevant experience as a practicing licensed lawyer, with at least 4 years of relevant investigations experience working in a law firm, or corporate compliance program environment (prior government investigation service is relevant). Foundation in ethics and integrity matters with ability to maintain independence and confidentiality of sensitive information. Prior experience in securities, financial regulatory, and litigation experience is highly preferred. Proven ability to provide business guidance and solutions in compliance and ethics-related matters. Experience working with diverse team member populations, including corporate and field-based employees, a major plus. Must be an independent and strategic thinker who works collaboratively and is willing to take on additional responsibilities (no job is too small or too large). Superb organizational skills and ability to manage projects concurrently while maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines. Knowledge about the consumer tech world and consumer product experience is preferred. Member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar. #LI-SV2 #LI-Hybrid The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
