Primary Activities/Duties : Establishes and coordinates the creation (Production Control) and execution (Shop Floor Control) of finite production schedules within and between various production departments. Ensures the flow of materials, parts, and information between or within departments. Ensures the 24-Hr router boards are filled properly. Establishes a feedback loop with production personnel to resolve problems affection production schedules. Track status of orders via shop floor control to provide feedback loop to internal suppliers/planning. Ensures execution of finite schedule using shop floor control. Evaluates data such as routers, product specifications, machine efficiencies, machine capacities, and material availability to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow. Provides feedback to Manufacturing, Materials, and Planning to continuously improve the complete fulfillment chain. Participate in production planning meetings as required to ensure timely communication and feedback to all areas. Drive continuous improvements to achieve a “World Class” manufacturing environment through support of Rittal Production Systems. Cohesively work with peers, provide accurate and timely response to schedule inquiries. Proactively work to identify and overcome bottlenecks A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to develop robust shop floor methods to improve and support material movement and schedule attainment. Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Requires long durations on the factory floor and/or long durations in the office at a computer. Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs., waist level. Safety Requirements Wear safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection and additional personal protective equipment where required Knowledge and Experience Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of all Microsoft products. Must also have experience with SAP, MRP, ERP systems. The preferred candidate will have a 4-year degree in Production Planning, Manufacturing, or Inventory Control Disciplines and or 5 or more years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment. High School Diploma required. Must understand and have used lean principles to include demand flow, Kanban, and JIT. Work Environment Must work in both office and plant floor environment. Manufacturing areas, exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, and paint.
