Inspects all on hand produce to assure Quality meets the highest standard. Verifies all dated product to assure shipping date meets customer expectationsJob Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesInspects all incoming shipments of Produce against good delivery guidelines, reporting results to Procurement.Accepts or rejects Produce based on condition, short weight, transit damage, grade, temperature and other reasons. May reject product without further consultation if product doesn t meet Company s requirements/standards.Conducts daily cooler walks to verify Produce quality, reporting results to QA SupervisorConducts daily cooler walks to verify all dated Fresh inventory has sufficient dating for shipment based on established minimum dating. Report results to QA SupervisorJob RequirementsAble to learn the standards for USDA Good Delivery guidelines for Produce.Good interpersonal and customer service skillsGood initiative and problem solving skills.High level of accountabilityPhysical EnvironmentSome work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
