The attorney will handle a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including conflicts arising from construction contracts and projects, contract disputes, and landlord/tenant issues. The candidate will independently oversee the day-to-day handling of litigation files, engage in all phases of litigation, and provide legal representation for clients in court proceedings. Admission to the Illinois Bar is required. Duties:Practice in a wide variety of civil litigation mattersIndependently oversee the day-to-day handling of litigation filesEngage in all phases of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, drafting summary judgment, and trial preparationDraft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and settlementsCollaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to case managementAdvise clients on their legal rights and obligations and suggest the best course of action in their particular situationProvide legal representation for clients in court proceedings related to civil matters Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Illinois Bar2+ years of relevant litigation experience Skills:Strong litigation skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail
