Description Youth Crisis Center- Full time Youth Crisis Peer Support Specialist - When youth experience a behavioral health crisis, they require a focused level of attention and care. As part of the integrated treatment team with our Youth Behavioral Health Community Crisis Center, the Youth Peer Support Specialists will provide support to youth who are experiencing a mental health crisis by sharing your lived experience to help promote recovery and resiliency. This position helps youth in understanding their role in accessing services, becoming informed consumers of services and self-advocacy within a crisis center setting. The staff at our Community Crisis Center work as part of an interdisciplinary team focusing on crisis intervention skills to de-escalate, treat and stabilize behavioral health needs of individuals. - - ** -If you are not Peer Support certified please visit the department Idaho Department of Health and Welfare website (link provided below) and read about the requirements to become peer support certified. If you meet the requirements and are interested in becoming certified, please submit a cover letter along with your resume letting us know you are interested in becoming certified.
