DEPARTMENT: Interventional Recovery Room WORK TYPE: Full Time WORK SCHEDULE: 10 Hour Day LOCATION: 350 7th Street North, Naples, FL, 34102 SIGN-ON BONUS: $15,000 ABOUT NCH NCH is a non-profit healthcare system dedicated to providing comprehensive care to the Southwest Florida community. We are transforming into an Advanced Community Healthcare System--- by providing higher acuity care, offering Graduate Medical Education and fellowships, conducting research and participation in national clinical trials, and partnering with leading health market leaders to provide excellent care. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients in the Interventional Recovery Room. In this role, you will need to recognize physical and emotional changes in patients' conditions, assist with biopsy, drainage procedures, and special procedures. As a Circulator, you will also need to maintain the flow of the Interventional Recovery Unit and assist other modalities when necessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Display thorough knowledge of nursing and departmental protocols Consistently provide appropriate charting and documentation Practice proper safety and radiation safety practices for self and others Demonstrate appropriate use of equipment Maintain flow of Interventional Recovery Unit Assist other modalities with nursing patient care issues Demonstrate competency working with all age groups Demonstrate competency using the Radiographic Information System Demonstrate competency in Departmental communication (telephone, papers, and intercom) Maintain clean and well-stocked work area Meet and exceed the expectations of patients and all other customers we serve Actively assist and support departmental activities to ensure that operational and salary expenses are equal to or less than approved budget Understand the principles and concepts of Performance Improvement Look for opportunities and solutions for process improvements and seek to improve job skills EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Graduate from an accredited nursing program Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience with at least one year in critical care, ER, or PACU experience required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
