We’re searching for a diligent dental assistant to provide support to our dentist’s office. You’ll be responsible for supporting our dental staff, helping prep for examinations and procedures, obtaining dental records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring our patients leave our practice with a smile. Responsibilities: • Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments and ensure each patient's mouth is comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist• Sterilize and lay out dental instruments and get all equipment ready, such as x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials, to prepare treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures• Support staff with administrative duties such as saying hello to patients, answering phones and making appointments for upcoming dental visits, ordering supplies, and handling billing• Provide postoperative instructions to patients so they are informed about how to care for their teeth and gums after procedures to prevent infection • Walk patients through a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile• Help educate parents and children on the importance of good oral health care• Assist providers with dental operative procedures• Assist the patient through the oral hygiene process, coronal polishing, and X-rays• Sterilize instruments• Support the clinical team• Prepare treatment rooms Qualifications: • Have the ability to give patients exceptional care and service• Applicants should have basic data entry and computer skills• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental assistance program required• Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills• Candidates must have graduated from a dental assistant program• Must have dental radiology/x-ray certification Compensation: $20 - $30 hourly About Company: We are a privately owned pediatric dental practice that provides comprehensive dental services to children of all ages and we are currently hiring for our second location in Plainfield, IN that will open in August of 2024.
