Description:

Senior Software Engineer, Backend Match Group LLC (Dallas, TX) Multiple positions available. Develop new features for Tinder. Improve subscriber retention while drivingsubscriptions and reducing churn. Help the company scale to meet the ever-growing Tinder user baseand global audience. Gain exposure to terabytes of data including billions of swipes per day. Build tools,infrastructure, and software systems to ensure 100% uptime of Tinder for all users across the world.Modify existing software to correct errors, allowing it to adapt to new hardware and improve performance.Scale existing software system to meet the extraordinary application demand. Develop and directsoftware system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Build quality toolsand frameworks to ensure a high-quality product. Analyze user needs and software requirements todetermine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Use strong communication skills (verbaland written) to coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensurespecifications are met. Problem solve software issues to support high traffic application. Position allowstelecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary: $140,000 - $223,000 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Software Engineering, ComputerScience, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field, plus 5years of professional experience as Software engineer, backend engineer, or any occupation/position/jobtitle involving backend software engineering. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, theemployer will accept a Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science,Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field, plus 3 years ofprofessional experience as Software engineer, backend engineer, or any occupation/position/job titleinvolving backend software engineering. Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience performing backendsoftware engineering (including planning, analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, testing, andmaintaining software systems or applications); 2 years of professional experience designing anddebugging backend interfaces for direct consumer-facing features (Business to Consumer) built on iOSand Android for a global tech company; 2 years of professional experience using backend languages(including JavaScript) to design, develop, and modify software systems; 2 years of professionalexperience writing comprehensive unit and regression tests; 2 years of professional experiencedeveloping large-scale (1,000+) distributed real-time systems; 2 years of professional experience usingApplication Programming Interface (API) to design, develop, and modify software systems; 2 years ofprofessional experience implementing scale and volume mobile backed systems; and 1 year ofprofessional experience operating NoSQL databases.
