Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and reliable Production Facility Custodian to join our team. The Production Facility Custodian will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our manufacturing facility, including production areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other designated areas. This part-time position is essential to ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for our employees and supporting the smooth operation of our production processes. Key Responsibilities: Clean work surfaces. Sweep, mop, and scrub floors in production areas, and other designated areas to remove debris. Empty trash bins and recycling containers throughout the facility and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and procedures. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Replenish supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, in restrooms and other designated areas as needed. Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying the supervisor of any shortages. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as dusting, window cleaning, and light bulb replacement, to ensure facilities are well-maintained and operational. Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks based on production needs. Clear snow from walkways as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial setting, is preferred but not required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in industrial cleaning operations. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols and safety procedures. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
