Description:
Seeking a kitchen employee for weekends from June 6th - August 14th at Kiwanis Scout Camp (Marine on St Croix). Main job duties will include assisting with food prep, serving meals and clean up. Room and board are provide for the weekend, though they are optional. Employees are expected to work Friday evenings 4-8pm for food prep, Saturday 7am-7:30pm (breaks included) and Sunday 7:00am-1:00pm (breaks included). Experience in Scouting not required. Compensation $971- $1200 for the season based on qualifications. Benefits include room and board, training in several program areas, personal leadership development, use of program equipment, free parking, great co-workers, scholarship opportunities, and the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of youth. Sick and Safe time offered to all employees. The job may be tailored as an internship if you need it; it is your responsibility to determine if academic credit is available within your academic department and degree program. Up to $1,500 scholarship available for camp staff in college that complete a full season. Required Qualifications: Food service experience preferred (or willingness to learn) Age 16 or older Must be able to get along with staff and youth campers; able to maintain a friendly and helpful attitude; able to work independently as well as cooperatively; able to handle multiple tasks. Must be able to be on time for work and maintain regular attendance. Kiwanis Scout camp is located at: 15987 St Croix Trail N, Marine on St Croix, MN 55047, 20 minutes north of Stillwater, MN.
