INVENTORY PLANNING and REPLENISHMENT ANALYST Report to: Inventory Planning and Replenishment Manager The Buyer role will assist the Inventory Planning and Replenishment manager in daily tasks and requirements, including but not limited to, the following: RESPONSIBILITIES: : Assist Inventory Planning and Replenishment Manager and branch managers maintain inventory stocking profiles that support customer requirements and ensure world class delivery and service: Manage optimal inventory levels at branch locations; maximize inventory turns, while maintaining stock levels required to service customer demand: Analyze market trends and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and schedule replenishment orders accordingly: Receive and validate incoming requisitions: Prepare and place purchase orders: Manage cost and address AP to PO issues: Prevent and reduce excess and obsolete inventory: Answer supplier and customer inquiries: Process data entry requests and conduct system inquiries: Follow up with suppliers on open order and delivery status: Adhere to company's procurement policies and procedures: Manage activities to meet or exceed Inventory Report metrics: Respond promptly to internal inquiries: Assist in other tasks or projects under the supply chain group including but not limited to inventory control functions EDUCATIONand/orEXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree or high school diploma, 3:5 years' experience in distribution business with 2+ years purchasing experience. OTHERSKILLSANDABILITIES : ProficiencywithMicrosoftOffice programsisrequired, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.: Strong Customer Service skills and problem resolution: Demonstratedabilitytoperformandadaptin achangingenvironment: Must be able to work independently and be a self:starter: Ability to be effective without immediate supervision: Available to travel as necessary for occasional meetings, audits, cycle counts: In office position in Houston, TX
