Role Overview: This dynamic and versatile position leads a team who works to manage and protect INDOT infrastructure through our various design, agreement and permit processes.Traffic engineering background is a plus, but not required, as this position reviews and/or facilitates the review of traffic studies and design plans for private development access. Oversees the District ADA inventory and inspection efforts as the designated ADA Liaison for the District.This position also develops and coordinates local maintenance agreements and relinquishments with our asset management group. They work with MPOs and local officials collaborating on behalf of the District. This position also manages a group that issues right:of:way permits and ensures billboard compliance. Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at85,020.00but may be commensurate with education or work experience. Location: This position is located in INDOT's Greenfield District. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: : Develop engineering policies and plans projects concerned with unique or controversial problems which have a significant impact on major organizational programs.: Provide budgetary information, researches and makes recommendations to assist with long range planning.: Evaluateengineering policies, recommends revisions, and approves and implementspolicies.: Evaluate the impact of changes to engineering policies, procedures and standards having statewide implications, makes recommendations to supervisor, integrates changes in existing programs, and directs research and evaluation efforts.The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
