About Us: Are you seeking a fun, unique and interesting work environment? Marine Corps Heritage Center LLC is seeking a Supervisor, Theater and Rifle Range to manage the operations and staffing of our 369-seat Medal of Honor Theater and simulated rifle range. The theater features a forty-minute signature film that immerses visitors in the experience of being a United States Marine. The Medal of Honor Theater features a Christie Laser Projection System. The theater is also used for special events, meetings and presentations, weddings, and other appropriate functions. Work Location: Fully in-person: This is an in-person position located at 1775 Semper Fidelis Way, Triangle, VA 22172. Work Schedule: The Medal of Honor Theater is open seven (7) days a week. Weekly work schedule may vary depending upon the operational needs of the theater including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Supervisory Responsibilities: Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints. Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department. Manages and o versees the daily workflow of the department. Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of departmental staff. Works under the direction of a manager and is responsible for carrying out assignments, exercising judgment and taking initiative. Receives specific assignments from Manager who provides an outline in terms of objectives, time frames and expected results. Assists in training newly hired departmental staff. Reports to Human Resources and Senior Management as needed. Provides continuous constructive and timely performance feedback . Provides semi-annual performance evaluations. Assists with departmental staff conflict resolution. Assists with discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. Assists Manager with selecting, contracts, and oversees contractors for specific needs. Supervises each contractor and subcontractor to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications. Job Duties: Lead daily activities of Medal of Honor Theater & simulated rifle range which includes daily decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, inventory of concession, and point of sale system. Maintain and handle all PM and ensure the security for projection booth to include light boards, sound boards, and projectors. Manage set up and operation of all special event activities within the theater. Responsible for a preventative maintenance (PM) in the theater including not only the auditorium and concessions and food storage areas but the projection booth and all equipment contained therein. Assist with developing and implementing marketing strategies designed to both promote the theater and its varied offerings and increase annual attendance at the theater. Provide support and delegation to team according to operational and procedural needs, maintaining high standards and following up on specific direction provided. Maintain strong communication and relationship with all areas of staff to include MCHF, NMMC, vendors, and visitors. Complete and post theater employee schedules in a timely fashion. Manage all aspects of customer service and guest relations adhering to the high standards required by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. Holds self-accountable to all standards of performance and behavior. Resolves guest service issues in partnership with the manager. Responds and reacts to all communication in a timely manner. Assists in the orderly and safe evacuation of the Theater and/or Rifle Range in an emergency. Provides courteous, professional, and knowledgeable service to both internal and external customers. Responds courteously and knowledgeably to visitor inquiries in a timely manner. Maintains knowledge of current sales, promotions, and exhibits; takes initiative to recommend and provide information to visitors. Works cooperatively with supervisors to ensure the safe and expeditious movement of visitors throughout the Theater and/or Rifle Range. Adheres to safety and security policies; recognizes security risks and thefts and is aware of how to prevent or handle these situations. Requirements: Education/Experience High school diploma or GED, college degree preferred 1+ years of retail experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of motion picture theater management experience Experience processing, reconciling and reporting on credit card transactions Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services Basic math skills required Experience using basic selling techniques Experience working with both a diverse work force and visitor groups 2+ years supervisory experience Experience with special event coordination and execution Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of the operation and management of motion picture theater including staffing, scheduling, and customer service Experience and knowledge to ensure operation meets all applicable Health Code requirements Documented Food Safety Training and Certification preferred Technological Skills Must be able to operate a computerized ticketing system and/or a POS cash register Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Proficient in Google Workspace Demonstrated proficiency in operation and maintenance of Digital Projection, Automation, State of the Art Sound Systems, and Point of Sale systems Experience with setup and operation of projection, lighting, and sound Required Knowledge and Skills Excellent written and verbal communications skills, must be comfortable presenting Highly developed interpersonal and customer relationship management skills Professionalism with both internal and external customers Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, discrete, resourceful, and ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to communicate with a variety of people, both internal and external Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to initiate and follow through on work independently Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented Excellent time management skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to meet assigned deadlines Ability to adapt to changing priorities Excellent customer service skills Proven problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions Strong quantitative and analytical skills Strong multi-tasking abilities Strong ethics and sound judgment Decisive, with ability to exercise independent judgment Proven ability to develop and maintain a positive team environment Other Must be flexible for scheduling Maintain a neat, clean, and conservative appearance in accordance with the Dress Code Policy Ability to maintain required work schedule and follow policies and procedures for taking leave EEO Statement: The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The employee interacts in close spaces and frequently with other workers, vendors, and clients. May be in situations which require conflict resolution. The position works in an office environment with artificial light and air.
