Biotech - Field Service Technician - Biotech An ADP client is currently recruiting for an experienced individual to be our next Service Technician to join our team in our Denver, CO or Raleigh, NC or Phoenix, AZ location. This is a remote role within Denver, CO or Raleigh, NC or Phoenix, AZ and the surrounding areas. Candidates need to live in the within the area. The role is remote and the perfect candidate will be reporting/working at the customer's sites for the day. We manufacture all our ownequipment in Europe, and we are the Sales & Service division for North& South America. This enables us torespond more specifically to the special challenges of the life scienceindustry. Aboutthe Role : TheService Technician performs equipment (custom pharmaceutical sterilizers andwashers) installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance in accordance with specifications,collaborating with customer contacts, project management, local service teams,and leadership. The Service Technician ensures our customers have a wonderfulexperience with equipment by ensuring our systems are installed correctly andscheduled maintenance and repairs are performed on time with high quality. ** The fieldtechnician who will be installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performingpreventative maintenances. ** What youwill do : Coreduties and responsibilities include the following. Perform equipmentinstallations, repairs and preventive maintenance working independently withlittle or no supervision or direction. Provideprogress reports, communicate, and escalate issues to the customer, Dispatch,Director of Service, Director of Operations, Project Manager, and SalesManagers when necessary. Ensurecustomer satisfaction with product installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Provideguidance to customers regarding installation variances from specifications. Attendconstruction meetings with customers or contractors, (when necessary) todiscuss utilities/space requirements and establish installation timeframes. Ensure theinstallation site is clean and prepared for turnover, ensuring completecustomer satisfaction is achieved. Performinstallation of all our products, including un-crating, setting products inplace, leveling, connecting utilities to the system, and testing / SAT.Complete all required service documentation associated with the installationactivity, startup testing, and the Operational Qualification checklist. Maintainaccurate records for all work performed. Close out installation and preventivemaintenance documentation by completing total labor and travel hours applied tothe work order. Completeinstallation and preventive maintenance documentation to accurately documentactivities, including follow-up actions when required. Participatein customer/contractor safety orientation training ensuring required PPE isused and implement preventative safety practices. Abide byall our and customer health & safety protocols and procedures. Providecustomers' support team with initial engineering in-service/training. Ensureprofessionalism in both appearance and behavior is always maintained at customersite. Followcustomer policies and requirements while performing all installation andservice activities. Troubleshoots,analyzes, prioritizes, and resolves and/or facilitates resolutions for allproblems dealing with in-use equipment. Receivesand then assures that all reported quality issues are logged in the appropriatedatabase and will communicate back to the field any relevant resolutions. Providesmoderate to high level technical support to customer technicians. Maintainsdata integrity in all aspects of customer contact, beginning with the initialcustomer contact (case initiation) through service support (work orderinitiation/resolution), billing, quality collection (issues, solutions), andcase closure. Demonstratessuperior customer service skills by keeping a positive, caring, can-do attitudeand by providing timely updates. Respondsto daily customer phone contact to resolve technical/part identification/procurementproblems. Performsother related duties as assigned by supervisor or management. TechnicalAssociate or Bachelor degree preferred. 3- 5 years Technical Support experience or Customer Service experience. Experiencein interpretation and modification of blueprints, technical literature/drawingsand C.A.D. drawings required. Capitalequipment installation experience preferred. Experiencetroubleshooting steam, water and pneumatic process control and PLC systems. Experienceworking in the Biotech / GMP field is preferred. Experienceusing power/air tools, OSHA 10 or 30 Certification in Construction Safety ispreferred, but not required. Required Abilities and Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in technical andcustomer-facing situations. Ability to successfully interact with bothnon-technical customers and technical support staff at customer organizations. Excellent written, verbal and customer service communicationsskills. Must be fluent in standard business software programs. Must be independent, initiative-taking andsuccess-driven, yet willing to work within a team environment. Must be able to prioritize own workload under pressure. Position requires lifting (up to 50 lbs.),bending, squatting, sitting, standing, and twisting. Must travel to customer sites that include, butare not limited to laboratories, pharmaceutical production facilities andanimal research centers, often in a construction environment. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidaysas business need dictates. Ability to support rotating on-call scheduleand provide emergency services, 24/7/365.
