TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a -Customer Service Assistant working out of our office in -Des Moines, Iowa. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The primary function of a Customer Service Assistant is to provide administration support to the Customer Service department. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prove back-up assistance to the Customer Service Representative for load entry Maintain various management reports on a periodic basis Perform all necessary pre-calls, which are include but not limited to: calling consignees for delivery appointments and directions; updating the MIS information in a time and accurate manner; and sending information the drivers if the load has already been dispatched Provide information to customers inquiries and redirect if necessary Other duties as assigned
