Location: Confidential Position: Family Nurse Practitioner Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Salary : $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Medical specialties: Internal Medicine, Primary Care Weekly schedule: Monday to Friday Well established Internal Medicine group practice is looking for Certified Nurse Practitioner on a full time/part time basis. Practice has a great reputation serving the community for over 50 years. It has an outpatient location in Poughkeepsie, NY and affiliation with Nursing Homes in the area and provides home visits on a selective basis. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM (with 1 hour lunch break from noon to 13.00 PM) and Saturdays from 8.00 AM to noon. Candidate would be asked to work every third Saturday.The NP will work in collaboration with the attending physician and will provide comprehensive health assessments and develop a plan of care for the patient population. The NP will also document in the electronic medical record by recording subjective, objective data, assessment and plan records data in a consistent, legible, accurate, concise and timely manner. He/she will provide patient/family education and utilize prescriptive authority working in collaboration with the attending physician. The practice provides a great degree of autonomy with excellent physician back up. The practice participates in many health care quality initiatives such as PCMH (Level 3), PCF. COMMUNITY : Duchess County, NY is located about 75 miles north of Manhattan and boasts excellent year-round outdoor recreation, including water-sports of all kinds, camping, excellent hiking, and great skiing. It offers a wide variety of cultural offerings and activities, including wineries & craft breweries, museums, theaters, fine dining, and a calendar full with music and cultural events. It has excellent public school system as well as private schools and well renowned universities such as Vassar College, Marist College and Culinary Institute of America. Convenient public transportation facilities, frequent train and bus services to New York City. The fall is especially spectacular and Walkway over the Hudson River is visited by thousands of people yearly. The county is well connected to the beautiful Berkshire Mountains, growing Capital District of NY, scenic Saratoga Springs, the Adirondack Mountains and historic Lower Hudson Valley and the Catskills. REQUIREMENTS: Board Certified/Eligible Nurse Practitioner Licensed to practice in NY Experience preferred but not mandatory. The practice has worked with and has successfully oriented new graduates. Applicants should possess excellent clinical & communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented.
