Job Title: Construction Superintendent (Commercial)Location: Knoxville, TennesseeCompany Overview:Our Client is a leading GC specializing in commercial projects in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they deliver high-quality construction services. We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team and oversee the successful execution of our commercial projects.Position Overview:The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site activities during the construction phase of commercial projects in Knoxville, Tennessee. This includes overseeing subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial construction, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities:- Manage all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.- Supervise and mentor on-site staff, including foremen, laborers, and subcontractors.- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met and safety protocols are followed.- Monitor project progress and identify any issues or delays, implementing solutions as needed.- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.- Enforce company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and quality control measures.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.- Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.- OSHA 30-Hour certification and other relevant industry certifications preferred.- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Benefits:- Competitive salary based on experience- Health, dental, and vision insurance- Retirement savings plan with employer match- Paid time off and holidays- Opportunities for career advancement and professional developmentOur client is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
