Description Specialization: Pediatric Job Summary: Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, supported by Mission Children’s Hospital, is seeking a pediatrician to join an engaged and passionate group of providers. Qualified Candidates: Board certified / board eligible in pediatrics Clinic Based position located next to Blue Ridge Regional Hospital Supported by Mission Children’s, the region’s only children’s hospital Position includes 4-6 nights per month providing call coverage for newborn deliveries at Mission McDowell Newborn call coverage supported by Mission Children’s TeleNICU and Infant Transport Team No ER call Clinic Hours M-F 8AM – 5 PM Please note that this position does not offer visa support Incentives / Benefits Package: Health, life, vision, dental and disability insurance 401(k) with annual matching program Advanced and continuing medical education Professional liability insurance Support and payment for mandatory license/s and hospital credentialing Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Assistance available Student loan repayment options available About Mission Children’s: Mission Children’s is the region’s only children’s hospital covering western North Carolina with 60 pediatric subspecialists in 20 different disciplines 51-bed, Level-III NICU staffed by our Neonatology team 34 bed Mother Baby Unit 19 bed Pediatric Unit 9 Bed PICU staffed by our Pediatric Intensivist team Opportunity to work with MAHEC Family Medicine Residents and UNC Medical Students Strong MFM program and new MFM Fellowship; good relationships with OBs and MAHEC OB/GYN Residency An average of 3,000 patient admissions to our pediatric inpatient units Approximately 4000 deliveries per year Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year Dedicated infant transport team serving a 55-county area About Blue Ridge Regional Hospital: Blue Ridge Regional Hospital (BRRH) is a for-profit community hospital serving Mitchell, Yancey, lower Avery and upper McDowell counties Located in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, the hospital is licensed for 46 beds and has about 410 employees, including 82 RNs Cleverley & Associates has recognized BRRH as a Community Value 5-Star Hospital for 10 consecutive years Medical specialties offered by BRRH include emergency services, OB services, critical care, rehabilitation services and fitness center, cancer services, orthopedics, general surgical services, pain management, pediatrics and family medicine BRRH is a member of Mission Health, a Top 15 Health System Whether you enjoy outdoor adventures, arts and culture, live music, shopping or fine cuisine, western North Carolina offers something for everyone!
