We offer clients a best-in-class fitness experience, unlike any other. We’re looking to expand our offerings and grow our brand with Self-defense classes. Currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Self-Defense Instructor to join our team and empower individuals with essential self-defense skills and techniques. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching practical self-defense methods and fostering a safe and confident environment for students of all ages and backgrounds. Responsibilities: Instruction and Demonstration: • Deliver engaging and effective self-defense lessons that cover a range of techniques, including striking, blocking, grappling, and evasion.• Provide clear demonstrations of techniques, ensuring students understand and can replicate them accurately.• Tailor instruction to various skill levels, adapting to beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced practitioners.• Provide personalized feedback and guidance to students to help them refine their techniques and improve their self-defense skills. Communication and Education: • Communicate effectively with students of all ages, backgrounds, and learning styles. Safety and Awareness: • Promote safety as a primary concern in all training sessions.• Educate students about situational awareness, risk assessment, and personal safety strategies.• Instill a sense of confidence and empowerment through effective self-defense techniques. Qualifications:• Proven experience as a self-defense instructor or martial arts practitioner with a focus on practical self-defense techniques.• Strong understanding of various self-defense disciplines, including striking, grappling, and situational awareness.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and create a positive learning environment.• Teaching or coaching experience, preferably in self-defense or a related field.• Physical fitness and capability to demonstrate techniques effectively.• Empathy and patience to work with students of varying skill levels.• Certification in self-defense instruction, martial arts, or a related discipline is a must. Compensation: $45 - $60 hourly About Company: At NUBOXX we reinvent the old-school boxing gym with small-group, high-intensity workouts in a clean, inviting, and friendly space. Following our signature program, modeled after a pro boxer’s training regimen, you’ll build endurance, power, speed, and flexibility while improving your technical boxing skills.
