Vacuuming, wall washing/cleaning, dusting, mopping, sanitizing areas and window washing. Seasonal decorating with items available to you in storage. Kitchen weekly cleaning: sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors weekly. Wipe off shelves, wipe down cupboards weekly. Vacuum carpets, clean carpets with cleaner as required, and polish floors. Shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery. Dust and polish furniture and fittings. Empty and clean trash containers daily. Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner. Clean wash basins, mirrors tubs and showers and light fixtures. Wipe down glass surfaces. Make beds and change linens when applicable. Tidy up rooms. Wash windows as scheduled. Sort, wash, load and unload laundry when finished with tasks to assist RA's. Sort, fold and put away laundry. Operate mechanized cleaning equipment. Maintain cleaning cart keeping it locked and without access to residents within the facility. Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways and lounge areas. Organize work schedule from the room status list and anticipate arrivals and departures within work schedule to clean rooms. Assist with events and coordinate set up and cleaning for events. Work independently with others. All other duties assigned. Requirements of a Housekeeper: High school diploma or GED preferred. Health care support services and/or environmental services, hospitality or related field preferred.
