The role involves assisting with privacy issues, advising clients on cybersecurity laws, defending regulatory investigations, preparing disclosures, negotiating contracts, and providing counsel on cybersecurity matters to MA deal teams and firm colleagues.Duties:Advise clients on compliance with cybersecurity lawsManage state, federal, and international data security incident notification obligationsDefend regulatory investigations related to securityPrepare public-facing consumer disclosures and internal company policiesDraft, revise, and negotiate data and technology contractsProvide cybersecurity counsel to MA deal teams and firm colleaguesRequirements:2-4 years of legal experienceFoundational knowledge of federal, state, and foreign cybersecurity lawsMotivation to learn technology and forensic investigationsPrefer experience liaising with claims counsel and forensic expertsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCommitment to continuing proficiency in cybersecurity and data privacy lawsAdmission to GA BarEducation Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the State Bar of GeorgiaSkills:Legal counseling in cybersecurity and incident responseKnowledge of state data breach notification laws, CCPA, HIPAA, GLBA, etc.Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersProject management and organizational skillsDrafting legal materials in business-friendly language Prestige, opportunity, diversity, and tremendous culture draw associates to this global conglomerate firm.
