Behavioral Interventionist

Description:
Summary Support student learning in early childcare by addressing behavioral issues head-on, and helping program staff design and implement environments, schedules, and activities that are supportive for all children. Position is flexible as a full-time, temporary summer employee or a year round, full-time employee. Duties Support students presenting behavioral challenges in early childcare classrooms in a 1:1, 1:2 or up to a 1:3 structure. Work regularly with teachers to plan environments, schedules and activities that will be supportive of all children, and to problem-solve issues as they arise. Develop individual behavior plans for students as appropriate and needed including curricula for daily outside activities. Meet regularly with program staff and families to support the needs of students in our program. Make referrals to other agencies or outside resources as appropriate. Work with parents/caregivers as needed to further support children in our programs. Attend ECP staff meetings to remain connected with the programs. Complete professional development and training as needed to maintain credentials and meet licensing requirements. Requirements Bachelors Degree in a related field or a minimum of four years experience. Benefits Hourly rate dependent on experience and qualifications- Starting at $20-25/hr with benefits offered to a full-time, year round position after completion of probationary period. Health insurance and additional benefits package is available to those working over 30 hours per week and year round employees. MFCC covers the monthly premium of an individual's plan for Health Insurance, and 50% of the individual plan for Dental and Vision plans. Pro-rated sick time and vacation time begins after a 90 day probationary period. Childcare discount of 60% for employees, pending availability of a slot. On-going, personalized professional development opportunities. Employee Assistance Program. Sign-on bonus of $1,000 for full time, year round position. Issued in two parts at the 90 days and 6 month employment dates. Pro-rated bonus of $250 for temp, summer position issued at the end of employment in August.
