They specialise in bespoke automation solutions for various different industries. This well established company has had a dramatic increase in production due to successful large tenders, and they are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support their growth. If you are an experienced Mechanical Fitter please read on. BENEFITS - Monday - Friday - Christmas shutdown 1 week - Uniform provided - Company pension - Established business - Stable company THE ROLE OF MECHANICAL FITTER - To carry out assembly and detail fitting of special purpose machinery supplied to the Automotive, Medical, Food and Plastic industries. - Use of hand tools - Assemble and fit the mechanical elements of machines, dealing with rectificationwork and engineering change as appropriate. - Complete basic machining and fabrication of parts as necessary. - Carry out machine service and upgrade work to existing machinery, often atcustomers site - During the course of delivering equipment, it may be necessary to work off-site atcustomers facilities both in the UK and overseas, therefore good presentation in frontof customers is essential and the flexibility to periodically work off-site is required. - Build the equipment to the agreed time scale. Assemble and test pneumatic system, route pneumatically pipes neatly. At times assist electrical build, routing cables etc - Set all pneumatic cylinders and reed switches prior to development.
