Our mission is to provide client-centred treatment that encompasses harm reduction and abstinence-based approaches, tailoring our strategies to the unique needs of the individual client. HMP Chelmsford is a busy local remand prison where we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Drug and Alcohol Practitioner to join our team. The Role: Working within an integrated healthcare framework to provide support to prisoners on their substance misuse treatment journey. Day to day you will be responsible for managing a caseload, providing appropriate harm reduction advice and guidance, backssments, and care plans; you will deliver structured 1:1 and group-work sessions on both Substance Misuse and Low-Level Mental Health topics and provide transitional support from prison to the community to prepare service users for release. Key Responsibilities – Drug and Alcohol Practitioner: Conduct thorough risk, initial, and comprehensive backssments to inform tailored substance misuse treatment plans.
