Embracing a personal approach to insurance sales gives candidates a leg up in this role, which includes developing strategies for promoting all types of new insurance contracts; making changes or additions to existing ones; and collecting key client information for risk profiles used to identify insurance plans for each unique individual. Responsibilities: • Remain updated on insurance industry changes and protocols to fulfill all policy requirements and monitor insurance claims from start to finish• Implement sales strategies and tactics proven effective in maintaining and growing existing customer portfolios comprised of loyal, long-term clients• Create tailored risk management strategies directly with clients that align with their risk profiles• Keep bookkeeping systems, sales databases, customer records, and related organizational tools current to accurately report progress to monthly and quarterly sales quotas to stakeholders• Listen attentively to new and potential clients, evaluate their needs and their financial statuses, and propose ideal plan options for their unique circumstances and insurance needs Qualifications: • High school diploma mandatory; four-year undergraduate degree strongly preferred• Demonstrated comprehension of the insurance industry, insurance products, risk management profiles, and associated state and federal regulations• Candidates should have basic computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Office programs• Some experience with accounting or sales lead software is beneficial• Candidates must have an insurance license Compensation: $100,000 yearly About Company: Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance of Idaho has been a presence in Idaho’s economy since 1947.
