Kaplan Early Learning Company is now seeking to add a Digital Media Outreach Specialist to our Gryphon House Publishing Team! Are you a media strategist, publicist, or content marketing whiz with a knack for spotting and/or developing compelling content and pitch angles? Do you have an existing contact network of podcast hosts or an address book full of journalists for online publications? Gryphon House is looking for a motivated, creative, and well-connected media strategist with a passion for big ideas and the drive to create and execute compelling digital media campaigns on behalf of our authors. The media strategist should have experience planning and executing content-focused earned media outreach, know their way around social media, and be comfortable interacting with leaders in the education industry. As our Digital Media Outreach Strategist, you'll wield your words like a wizard's wand, conjuring up captivating campaigns that spread the word about our innovative and engaging resource books for educators and families of young children. You'll be part of a team that's making a real difference in the lives of early educators and families. Unleash your creativity : Craft compelling pitch letters, press materials, author Q&A's, and blog article ideas Become a media maven : Build relationships with key influencers and educational outlets, securing podcast appearances, article placements, and interviews that showcase the value of Gryphon House materials. Flex your creative problem-solving muscles : Become a partner and advisor to our authors, quickly understanding their needs and helping them achieve their goals Dive into the data : Analyze the results of your media outreach campaigns and use your insights to refine your strategies and reach even more key influencers, podcasts, and media contacts for campaign outreach. Collaborate with a passionate team : Work alongside editors, designers, and fellow marketing professionals who share your dedication to promoting early childhood education. If you have: 3-5 years of experience in publicity, public relations, digital media, or related field and a solid track record of generating creative angles and pitches Strong writing and communication skills, knowledge of AP Style, and a knack for crafting engaging and informative content Experience building and nurturing relationships with online communities and influencers, including podcasters, bloggers, and social media Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.
