Up to £32,000 a year Company pension Employee discount Free parking Work from home The Role We are looking for a Freight Business Development Manager to join us in the North East of England. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the growth of the business by sourcing new regular trading and profitable road, sea and air freight customers. We will look to you to identify and convert potential opportunities, new clients and markets along with additional ways to serve our existing clients better. You will be responsible for your own diary and will be required to travel to meet new clients as well as attending networking meetings, events and exhibitions. Alongside service, margins are of course incredibly important, and you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we have clear profit margins on all accounts and jobs, maximising these wherever possible. The day-to-day duties will include: - Seek, Develop and secure new opportunities Make outbound telesales calls to potential clients to generate and identify new business opportunities Cold Calling & lead generation. Maintain and develop existing accounts, upsell additional services. Manage new accounts in your business base, ideally with the aim of becoming the sole supplier. Handle quotations & all operational aspects of Sea, Air and European Road movements. Build client base and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers. Actively promoting the brand and always provide exceptional customer service. Arrange regular new client meetings and existing client visits Requirements: - Outgoing personality and a confident communicator with a passion for business development Previous experience in sales and account management Freight experience preferred but not essential Commercially focused with a strong passion for customer service. Self-motivated and driven with an entrepreneurial spirit. Has the ability to be a self-starter, build own sales pipeline as well as manage customer. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
