Practice Area: Patent Agents - Mechanical,Patent Agents - Electrical Engineering,Patent Agents - Computer Science, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Patent Agent with a background in aerospace engineering and engine technology. The ideal candidate should be a registered patent agent with examining experience at the U.S. PTO or patent drafting experience in a law firm setting. Holding undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science is required. Strong preference will be given to candidates with previous experience as a patent examiner, and industry experience is a plus. The successful candidate must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and sharp analytical ability. Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct patent searches and analysis.Draft and prosecute patent applications in the aerospace and engine technology fields.Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to understand and protect intellectual property.Provide technical and legal support in patent litigation matters.Stay updated on changes in patent laws and regulations.Participate in patent portfolio management and strategy discussions.Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.Assist in training and mentoring junior patent professionals.
