We are seeking a capable and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our client's Hospice/Palliative Care Unit based in Hackney, East London. This role is within easy reach of Tf L and National Rail services This is a full-time role, salary £51,488 - £57,802 or a part-time opportunity of no less than 30 hours per week could be negotiated. Reporting to the Therapies Manager, as the Band 7 Physiotherapist you will be a senior clinical member and leader within the Hospice Management team. The Therapies Team includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Dietetics. You will; - lead a team of four Band 5/6 Physiotherapists, overseeing and ensuring the delivery of high quality provision to patients, families, and important others. - undertake highly specialised physiotherapy backssment and treatment of patients with life limiting illness as an autonomous practitioner. - contribute to, and take a leadership role in, projects and teaching initiatives as a source of physiotherapy expertise and advice across the team and organisation. - provide leadership on multidisciplinary rehabilitative palliative care, the principles and philosophy of supporting palliative patients to live as independently as possible, both within the hospice and externally. The Hospice comprises an Inpatient Unit two 17 bed wards including respite beds, Community Palliative Care, Day services and various therapies including a volunteer led Empowered living team helping patients self manage their condition and maintain independence. Services are provided for people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses and for their significant others. Patients are admitted for backssment, symptom control, terminal care, rehabilitation, respite care and medical interventions from the catchment areas of East London and the city. Person requirements: Qualified Physiotherapist with full HCPC registration. Current or recent Band 6 or equivalent UK Hospice/Palliative. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
