Quality Technician

Description:
We have an immediate need for a 2nd shift Quality Inspector. This position will support manufacturing processes by performing inspections and aide in resolving quality issues. The current schedule is 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday), from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, but this schedule is subject to change based on business needs. Essential Functions Performs inspections on product in process on the manufacturing floor. Performs inspections on product using the CMM. Assists with gage R&R studies. Performs capability studies. Supports and involved in continuous improvement projects. Fills out and submits inspection reports. Qualifications At least one year of experience inspecting, preferrably in the metal manufacturing industry. Print reading skills. Knowledge in Metric measurements. Knowledge in GD&T Tolerance. Knowledge of corrective and preventive actions, layout inspection, continuous improvement projects, Understanding of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9000, TS 16949, ect. Experience and understanding with CMM. Must have a diverse, working knowledge in GD&T and Blue print reading. High level of enthusiasm. Good communication and organizational skills. Must work well with others. Ability to prioritize tasks and execute in a timely manner. Good organizational skills to prioritize and execute multiple work activities.
