N OTICE OF VACANCY Jackson Madison County School System Deadline: Until Filled TITLE: CTE Workforce Development Director REPORTS TO: Chief Innovation Officer SUPERVISE S : CTE Teachers TERM: 260 Day Calendar, Salary to be established by the Board JOB GOAL: To identify , design, implement, and facilitate high quality program design for Career Technical Education with a commitment to w orkforce and economic d eve lopment through a focus on reimagin ing time, space, modes of learning , and industry partnerships for CTE 21 st Century learn ing. Q UALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:  Bachelor's Degree with CTE experience , master's degree preferre d Valid teacher's license with appropriate endorsement Leadership/Management experience Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills Proficient in various forms of digital communication. Meets health and physical requirements FBI/TBI Fingerprint/Background Clearance every five (5) years. Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent might find appropriate and acceptable. EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's p olicy on evaluation of personnel. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: F ormulate and administer a comprehensive CTE and workforce development program to include a 5 - and 10-year Strategic Plan per district standards for g oals, obje ctive s , action steps with annual review and revision. Manage budgets from a variety of funding sources including but not limited to state and federal agencies, private and public grant opportunities, and C TE fundraising opportunities. Maintain close working relationships with area business, industries, community/state agencies, and workforce development/labor organization(s) in order to keep training consistent with community workforce needs . Lead district CTE Lead Teachers in managing CTE teacher effectiveness , establishing CTE advisory committees , other relevant responsibilities. Design programing for middle and high school that aligns with T DOE CTE standards including but not limited to instruction, curriculum, and funding resources. Continuously appraise and evaluate CTE programs to achieve the established goals of providing the opportunity for people to prepare for gainful employment. Maintain current knowledge of all rules and regulations for CTE education. Maintain accurate documentation for state reporting. Assume responsibility for the collection, review, and submission of all forms and reports related to CTE education to state and federal agencies . Coordinate the gathering, selecting, and analyzing of data with respect to program effectiveness and workforce options and opportunities available to local high school graduates. Coordinate all work-based learning experience programs including L.O.O.P., practicums, internships , etc. Make recommendations for long-term adjustments, changes, additions, and deletions in the CTE educational pro gram to meet changing workforce development needs. Manage digital curriculum, media outlets. Identify opportunities and manage implementation for Early Post Secondary Opportunities (EPSO's) . Provide professional development for CTE Instructors . Analyze data points for career readiness standards . Foster professional relationships with stakeholders and vendors. Evaluate education materials and resources, develop instructional programming. Coordinate Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSO's) . Coordinate the Implement ation of learning software and other instructional technology. Performs other duties as assigned.
