The ideal candidate should possess a strong chemistry background, a degree in chemical engineering or chemistry, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Advanced degrees and/or prior work experience before taking the agency exam are strongly preferred, and USPTO membership is a prerequisite. The successful candidate must demonstrate outstanding written and oral communication skills, excellent academic credentials, and strong organizational and analytical abilities.Duties:Conduct patent drafting and prosecution activities related to intellectual property matters.Collaborate with attorneys and inventors to gather necessary information for patent applications.Assist in preparing responses to office actions and other patent-related correspondence.Conduct patent searches and analyses to assess patentability and infringement issues.Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of experience in patent drafting and prosecution.Degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.Strong chemistry background.Education:Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or chemistry (Advanced degrees preferred).Certifications:USPTO membership.Skills:Proficient in patent drafting and prosecution processes.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Strong organizational and analytical abilities.Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and inventors.Job Location: Greensboro, NC This rapidly growing firm has some serious chops with regards to the energy and natural resources, financial, insurance, manufacturing, real estate, retail, transportation, life sciences, communications, and health care sectors.
