Florence Unified School District #1 is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Secondary Social Studies Teacher-Anticipated Openings Location: District Wide School Year: 2024-2025 Date Available: 07/08/2024 Position Purpose: As a Secondary Social Studies Teacher covering grades 6-12 in the Florence Unified School District, you will guide students on a compelling journey through history exploring its foundations, growth, challenges, and contributions. You will also play a pivotal role in helping students understand the complexities of economic systems, government structures, and their impact on society. Your responsibilities will include designing interactive lessons, fostering critical thinking, and equipping students with the knowledge and skills to be informed and engaged citizens. Your role contributes to the overarching mission of delivering exceptional education by cultivating students' historical awareness, civic awareness, economic literacy, and analytical skills. Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree or higher in the core area content Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Education. Minimum of three (3) years of previous teaching experience or school experience in teaching Math (preferred) Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card Valid Arizona Teaching certificate
