DESCRIPTION: An Airport Maintenance Worker I performs a variety of manual labor tasks associated with the maintenance and operation of the Town of Payson s Municipal Airport. This position involves skilled operation of medium equipment and the performance of semi-skilled work in the accomplishment of a program of municipal work services. This class is typically used as a training class and employees may have only limited directly related work experience. PAY RANGE: $12.49 - $18.73/hour, plus benefits EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, experience in repair and maintenance work, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skills and abilities for the position. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to maintain and safely operate various items of equipment including but not limited to: dump truck, tractor, mower, motor grader, front end loaders, back hoe, motorized broom, fork lift, snow plow, and bucket truck. Expertise in operating mowing and weed trimming equipment. Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
