Lewis Davey is seeking an Energy Modelling Consultant to join a Decarbonisation team due to a marked increase in demand for consultancy in this area. The role is intended to expand on existing capacity to deliver building and organisational level decarbonisation plans, low carbon heating options appraisals, energy audits, renewable energy feasibility, and in use performance analyses. A key requirement is experience using energy modelling software, preferably RETScreen and IES Virtual Environment, in a professional capacity. The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of building services, building fabric, renewable generation and other low carbon technologies. You will be familiar with the calculation of carbon emissions relating to buildings. You will have experience of completing technical site surveys, including dimensioning and intrusive building fabric surveys. Key responsibilities Undertaking technical site surveys Building energy modelling Report writing Required skills, knowledge and experience Significant knowledge and experience of building services Able to identify building services plant, equipment and operation strategy Experience of delivering energy audits, decarbonisation studies, renewable energy and low carbon heating feasibility studies Proficiency in energy modelling software, preferably RETScreen and IES VE suite Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Office365, Visio and Sharepoint) Familiarity with UK Building Regulations (in particular Part L and Part F) Must be able to work to deadlines and budgets Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Required qualifications A relevant Degree in Engineering or a Mathematical science Membership (working toward Chartered Status) of a relevant industry body (e. g. CIBSE) Current UK driving license (Essential due to travel) Desirable Experience of Life-Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) Experience of producing Energy Performance Certificates Knowledge of heat.
