Registered Nurse – Orthopedics (Days & Nights) Compensation: Salary ranges from $26.00 - $38.53/hr, based on experience. Night differential ($4.00) and Weekend differential ($3.00) available. Location: San Antonio, TX About the Facility: Our esteemed hospital, located in the heart of San Antonio, has been a pioneer since its inception in 1963. As a part of the renowned South Texas Medical Center, we boast over 800 beds and offer a diverse range of specialties. From cardiology and oncology to maternity care and orthopedics, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch care. Notably, we are the largest provider of the lifesaving ECMO Program in San Antonio and have the distinction of being home to the world's largest robotics program. Our commitment to excellence is further highlighted by our Adult Blood Cancer and Stem Cell Transplant unit's recent accolade as the first program to receive FACT Accreditation in North America. Job Responsibilities: Deliver safe nursing care independently, applying critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership. Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure quality patient outcomes. Engage actively in unit and organizational activities, showcasing communication, confidence, and professionalism. Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability, serving as a valuable resource to the patient care team. Uphold the standards of nursing care services and promote a positive image of the nursing profession. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree). Valid RN License in Texas or an Active Multi-State RN Compact License (Texas RN License required within 90 days if holding a Compact License). Current American Heart Association BLS Certification. Minimum of six months of clinical experience as a licensed RN in the specialty area. BSN or national certification preferred. Additional Information: Ortho Unit Features: 32-bed unit with private rooms, specializing in Orthopedics. Services include Hip Arthroplasty, Total Knee Arthroplasty, Spinal Surgery, and more. Nurse to Patient ratio is 1:5. Compensation: Salary ranges from $26.00 - $38.53/hr, based on experience. Night differential ($4.00) and Weekend differential ($3.00) available.
