Description:
Position Responsibilities: This position plans, manages, and monitors transportation operations. Specific duties entail, but not limited to the following: Supervise operations at the Railhead, Unit Movement, Container Yard, Cargo Movement and Base Operations. Coordinate with the customer to prioritize operations. Responsible for ensuring compliance with contract requirements. Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing all safety procedures and requirements. Submit daily, monthly, and quarterly reports. Account for all employees and submit the PERSTAT daily. Ensure successful completion of all mission operations in accordance with established policies and management goals regarding funding, storage, workload, manpower capability, component, issue, equipment items, and inventory control procedures. Performs employee discipline counseling, employee performance reviews, and other personnel reporting. Reviews and approves employee timesheets. Review and approve employee leave requests (LWOP, sick and vacation). Screen applicants and conduct interviews for open positions. Ensures all employees observe policy, procedures and regulatory guidance for physical security, and monitors for compliance. Basic Qualifications: US Citizen High school diploma or equivalent 18 years of age Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position. Valid state driver's license Desired Qualifications: Must have at least five years of supervisory experience, a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in TMP management. Must possess in-depth knowledge of applicable program relationships, concepts and methodologies pertaining to it. Transportation operations Knowledge of US Army regulations and procedures. Must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized. Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others. Skill in written and oral presentations. Must have excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications. Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work. Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
