On- C all Registered Nurse Aegis Health Care is hiring Healthcare Heroes! Ancora Home Health and Hospice is currently seeking a compassionate on-call Registered Nurse (RN) that has a passion for providing outstanding services to the elderly in senior living communities and in-home health settings. The on-call weekend shifts are 24 hours starting at 8:00am either Saturday or Sunday, with some overlap on Friday and Monday. This is an on-call position serving the Wasilla a rea. Each Registered Nurse is an important part of the Aegis Health Care team. Aegis specializes in providing care for hospice and home health patients, including respite care and continuous care in senior living communities or in the patient's home. Job Responsibilities: Perform appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status Use assessment information and critical thinking skills to develop an individualized plan of care; revise and reassess changes as appropriate Actively seek patient, family, team, and physician involvement to develop plan of care including needed education Set priorities, coordinate, and organize patient care delivery through effectively managing time, supplies, and resources Initiate referrals as needed to other health team members Maintain patient records showing systematic assessment, planning intervention, and evaluation Participate in team meetings and coordinate patient care with other members of the team Skills and Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice Home Health / Hospice experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) preferred Ability to utilize full range of movement to transfer patients Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Valid Driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable automobile Proof of current automobile insurance Criminal background check clearance/fingerprint clearance Current CPR certification Negative TB test Requirements of this position: This position traditionally is 7 days on and 7 days off throughout the year. The minimum requirement is 15 days a month that includes 2 weekends. Variations of these 7 days on and off can be approved by the branch director. For example: The on-call position would like to work every Friday-Sunday but have Monday through Thursday off. This would result in full-time status, also due to the 24-hour nature of the weekend, this on-call person would have fulfilled its 15 days a month minimum. It will be expected that the on-call fill all patient needs during the time. This will include medically necessary scheduled visits, prn visits, new admits and death calls. Job Factors: Physical Requirements: Requires considerable physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking, exposure to temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting and/or transferring of a 100-pound patient. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet essential duties of this position. Must provide evidence of annual TB test and other state required tests or examinations. Mental Requirements: Must be able to work independently, make judgments based on assessments and data available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability. Working Conditions: Be able to tolerate exposure to elements including, but not limited to, odors, blood, body fluids and excrements, adverse environmental conditions and hazardous materials. Compensation for this position: This position will have a base compensation of $40,000 dollars a year. This is to compensate for "on-call" time. In addition to the on-call compensation, employees will receive a pay per unit for visits and admits that are completed in addition to being on call.
