Clarke of Rigby, ID is seeking to hire a Night Driver Technician to help control populations of adult mosquitoes by ensuring that spray equipment is working properly and applying an ultra-low volume mosquito control product to contracted communities, subdivisions, industrial sites, and other harborage areas. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about public health, sustainability, and who is looking for a flexible, graveyard shift position. WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY This position earns a competitive wage of $15.00/hr and generally works part-time 15-30 hours per week , Monday- Friday, 7pm to 11:00pm/12:00am (start/end times/days may vary based on business needs). The Night Field Technician must be available to work part time through our summer seasonal operations (June-September). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NIGHT DRIVER TECHNICIAN As a Night Driver Technician, you are responsible for driving a company vehicle with a spray unit attached to apply a mosquito control product to contracted communities, subdivisions, industrial sites, and other harborage areas in an effort to control the mosquito population. You love your graveyard shift job as you get to be out of an office and driving the local community during the calmest times of the night. A map will be given to you by your supervisor for you to utilize as you navigate your Truck through treatment routes while abiding all traffic laws. You have excellent attention to detail as you apply treatments accurately, safely, and in a timely manner. Lastly, you document all activity to ensure customer's contracts are completed. When you are not spraying, you are performing inspections and maintenance on your equipment, attending training , or helping in other aspects of your field. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NIGHT DRIVER TECHNICIAN Be 18 years of age or older Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms Have a valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record Ability to sit, drive a vehicle for extensive amounts of time following specified routes Must be able to work through the end of our season (November/December) Obtain state required pesticide licensing (training provided) Capable of using handheld technical devices including, but not limited to, smartphones, GPS, and systems applications Candidate must be comfortable performing assigned duties while operating a vehicle through various residential communities, urban environments and traffic patterns where environmental conditions are affected by weather, pedestrians and other operating vehicles Are you a problem-solver?
