Schwieters Companies in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area is seeking to hire full-time, Interior Trim (Finish) Carpenters. As a Finish Carpenter, you complete all the interior finishing for both our commercial and residential projects. Using your carpentry skills, you finish baseboards, casing, crown molding, hardware, window trim, door trim, and more. You also install stair rails, doors, vanities, and cabinets. Because you apply the finishing touches to each project, your eye for detail is essential to ensure that everything is just right. Each day, you enjoy multitasking and being able to work with your hands. As you work, superior craftsmanship is always a top priority. You are a great addition to our construction team, and it feels fantastic knowing your hard work has a positive impact on our customers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Complete all the interior finishing for both our residential and commercial projects You will install the following: Cabinets Vanities Stair rails Base Casing Crown molding Hardware Window trim Doors and door trim Other duties as assigned BENEFITS We offer generous benefits that include: Supplied company power tools Company tablet Medical and dental insurance (monthly premiums are paid for by Schwieters Companies, Inc.) Miscellaneous insurances at reduced rates Vision Short term disability Accident Life Paid vacation 401(k) plan with 3% match Holiday pay Weekly Pay $150 Monthly gas card Potential future company vehicle On-the-job training & mentoring programs QUALIFICATIONS Finish carpentry experience in new home construction Experience installing kitchen cabinets and stair rails with spindles preferred Dependable vehicle Valid driver's license Ability to use power tools comfortably Motivated and reliable Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical/work performance test WORK SCHEDULE 40-50 hours per week starting at 6am at the jobsite Monday-Friday, overtime at different times throughout the year PAY $26-$40 per hour, determined by experience ABOUT US Schwieters Companies was founded in 1982 by Joel Schwieters, who trimmed 40 homes during his first year in business.
