General Job Description - Fleet Mechanic Reports to: Rental Manager Job Summary: Pullman Building Supply is in need of dedicated, hard-working individuals who aren't afraid to work hard and get a little dirty. This position requires the ability to perform maintenance, diagnosis and repairs on company fleet trucks, tractor trailers, forklifts and rental equipment. This includes but is not limited too, skid steers, telehandlers, mini excavators and aerial lifts. Essential Job Functions: Perform repair on fleet vehicles such as breakdowns, malfunctions, and emergency roadside repair Diagnose cause and perform repairs to manufactures specifications on gas & diesel engines, propane engines, transmissions and clutches, suspension and steering, fuel and ignition, hydraulics, electrical systems and HVAC systems Regular general maintenance of equipment Follow paper-flow procedures including documenting correct mileage/hours, document all repairs on work orders, follow parts ordering/billing procedures Apply logic and have critical thinking skills Perform preventative maintenance on trucks such as fluid changes, safety inspections and brake repairs Working Conditions: Environment with varying temperature and weather conditions. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Requirements: Must pass a background check Must pass a drug test * Valid driver's license *Please visit a member of our HR Team for clarification on our drug and alcohol use policy
