Human Resources Manager

We are looking for Human Resources Manager to join our team and lead all human resources programs and services. This position requires a strong understanding of the Japanese corporate culture and employment practices. Must reside on the island of Oahu, NO out of state applicants will be considered. The ideal candidate must have hands on experience with recruitment, terminations, compensation, performance evaluations, in depth knowledge of employment and wage laws and regulations in the state of Hawaii and Washington, organizing trainings, administering employee benefits and leaves, and crafting HR policies and procedures.Utilize Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential, and act as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics. The goal is to ensure the HR department's operations run smoothly, consistently and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole. Responsibilities Manage the HR department by overseeing the day-to-day duties Review all leave requests to determine applicable leave qualifications (FMLA, HFLL, TDI, WC, etc.) and prepare documentation Keep abreast of all changes to local, federal and state employment/wage laws Work closely with management on disciplinary actions, counseling and terminations Work closely with operation team on staffing needs, training progress and internal communication Provide recommendations for updates to the employee handbook Oversee the maintenance of the personnel files Talent acquisition and recruitment to ensure all existing 13 locations, new locations and new businesses are fully staffed Talent management and Succession planning Take actions for enhancing employee satisfaction Onboarding of new employees Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics, and resolve any issues that may arise Prepare incentive, quarterly and profit-sharing bonus information Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies and procedure Organize ongoing employee performance reviews and effective performance management monitoring Maintain and post job descriptions Maintain employee files and records migrating from printed files to electronic Develop and administer company training process Participate in the government agency audits Other duties as assigned Requirements 10 years of progressive HR experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software Excellent problem-solving skills and decision making Multi-task and be very flexible with changing priorities Self-motivated and directed Ability to work independently and as a member of a team High judgement and ability to keep information confidential Bachelor's Degree in HR or relevant field SHRM certification will be a plus HR manager experience in F&B industry would be preferable.
