We are actively seeking a Major Roads Project Manager to lead road schemes across Ireland. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of experience, hold Chartered status, and demonstrate substantial expertise in major roads planning and design. This includes a track record of providing evidence at Oral Hearings for Environmental Impact backssment Reports (EIAR) and Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO) related to major road schemes. Responsibilities: Lead major roads planning and design projects. Provide expert testimony at Oral Hearings for EIAR and CPO processes. Contribute to the busy Highways and Transportation team based in Cork or Galway. Take on the role of a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible team lead. Collaborate effectively with team members and take responsibility for project outcomes. Desirable Skills/Attributes: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment. Degree-level education (level 8/9 engineering degree). Chartered status. Proficiency in basic Microsoft suite programs and a good understanding of MS Project. Detailed knowledge of relevant design standards, including DMRB/DMURS. Experience in design and build schemes. Comprehensive involvement in roads scheme development in Ireland, covering Preliminary Design, Planning, Detailed Design, Tender backssment, and Construction Supervision.
