Today it is one of the world's great law schools. The Faculty’s rich academic programs are complimented by its many legal clinics and public interest Programs. The Faculty of Law is housed in the elegant, state-of-the-art Jackman Law Building alongside two historical buildings, Flavelle House and Falconer Hall, on the St. George Campus in downtown Toronto. LAWS (Law in Action Within Schools) is an education engagement and support program for high school students facing barriers to postsecondary access. Guided by equity and possibility, LAWS exposes program participants to legal thinking and the justice system through workshops, mentorship and employment programs. LAWS is a partnership between the Faculty of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, and is delivered in eight Toronto District School Board high schools. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, J. D. Program, the Director oversees and manages all aspects of the program, including the following: fundraising; financial management and reporting; communications and program dissemination; staff and volunteer management; program design, delivery and governance; stakeholder and partnership development and management; and new program development. The Director supervises all LAWS staff at both partner law schools, including LAWS Coordinators, LAWS Program Assistant, and contract staff. The Director also manages the Faculty’s Youth Summer Program and March Break Youth Program, and supports other youth outreach activities at both law schools. QUALIFICATIONS Undergraduate University degree. Law degree (LL. B. or J. D. ) strongly preferred. Minimum five years’ experience related to program management or public legal education in.
