This is a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working a Housing Sector as a Clerk of Works. A Housing client based in Surrey is currently recruiting for a Damp and Mould Clerk of Works to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working a Housing Sector as a Clerk of Works. The purpose of the role is to quality control work done on associations Minor/Major Works projects from inception to completion to ensure that each phase is defect free, meets the required quality standards and contributes to increased Customer Satisfaction. Responsibilities: Quality control work done on SHP Minor/Major Works projects from inception to completion to ensure that each phase is defect free, meets the required quality standards and contributes to increased Customer Satisfaction. Comply with relevant procedures and standards across the Minor/Major Works programme and ensure that Providers and Contractors also comply. Report any failure to comply with the Capital Works Surveyors for action. Understand the scope of the work covered in the Risk Register and monitor compliance. Carry out site inspections and draft/complete reports on findings. Ensure that Contractors take timely corrective action when defects are discovered. Work with Capital Works Surveyors and strategic partners Requirements: NVQ or equivalent qualification in construction or engineering. Corporate membership of a technically orientated institution – Io Co W or equivalent by experience. Knowledge of effective site management techniqueinteractioncellent communication skills written and oral; able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences Computer literate The client is looking to move.
